Metro to Install More Red Platform Edge Lights
I appreciate that they are using LED lights, which are more energy-efficient than incandescent, but I really hate that they are red. I find it vaguely sinister and threatening.

I guess they think that red lights are more likely to get people to step back from the platform edge; I still think they should use multicolored LEDs and flash lights in whatever color the oncoming train is... blue, red, yellow, orange or green.
