Nerd

I guess I am a nerd. Though I find the definition strangely flattering:

A computer expert by aptitude and not mere training. Usually male, under the age of 35 and socially inept; a person whose tremendous skill with operating or designing computer hardware or software is exceeded only by his, rarely her, passionate love of the technology. See also hacker.

It is a beautiful day today. Class went great, I got big applause even for my very gay 'Boys' mix.

I walked to the Apple Store, dorkily singing along to Whitney Houston as I went. I bought a new LaCie external drive to backup a lot of files, and Civiization IV. I will probably not play it much (I get really impatient with computer games; the only one I played regularly even for awhile was The Sims and I'm sure that was only because you could make gay Sim couples. I had all these boyband pairs... never mind.

As I walked around Clarendon, I realized what a font nerd I am, though it is an asset at work. On the various signs and awnings I picked out Copperplate (though not the specific number; I am not THAT big of a nerd), Americana, some variety of Bodoni, and of course some Arial/Helvetica. At the Barnes & Noble of course the books were covered with fonts that only a few of us know: Da Vinci and other handwriting faces from P22.

On the agenda for tonight: Revenge of the Sith on the big TV. Whee!

Oh and I think I may update the format of the page either today or tomorrow morning, so hang on!
